I am an exceltionally lucky individual: I live very close to the river near the town of Marlow, one of the most picturesque towns on the River Thames. This church at Bisham is very close by, and for a photographer it is totally irresistible. As you can see from the arched windows, the main tower dates back to Norman times. Living in Marlow mans that I have an endless source of inspiration from the river, and I find myself grabbing my camera as I travel along the river to various events. You will find photographs at Culham, Bourne End and Cookham, as well as Marlow, and it is fully my intention to photograph many more stretches of the river as opportunities arise.
Needless to say I was highly attracted to both the colours in the photograph (sky, river and church) and also the reflections rippling in the river.
I sometimes go kayaking along here, and just nearby I have seen all sorts of birdlife, including a kingfisher. I am not yet brave enough to kayak with my camera and lenses!
I hope to post the best of my photographs here!
