St Albans

I have recently moved to St Albans with my partner. One of the joys of coming to a new area after so many years in one town has been exploring some of the surrounding parks and countryside. Recently we were walking through the park, we were both photographing the coot chicks, swans and other wildlife, when I suddenly turned round and saw this glorious orange sunset. The skies were literally on fire. I took so many photographs of it because it was just beautiful.  Sunset in St AlbansSunset in St AlbansTaken over the lakes in St Albans This is a single frame, I also took a series of multi-frame panoramas, the biggest of which was seven frames stitched cleverly together... I have since printed it big at 1.6m wide by about 25cm tall. It really is fantastic. Anyway, here is a four frame pano:

stunning colours Richard, as for favourite, I love the intensity of the first, and the mystery of the last - I feel as though someone should tell story about the last panorama it is wonderful!
